We present the characteristics of 5 gasoline models, considered to be the most economical and used.
1. Toyota Prius I – 5.1 liters
In the United States, the Prius quickly became a bestseller, while in Germany the premiere of the hybrid drive in 2000 was not so successful. Only 1,200 copies were sold by the end of 2003, probably thereafter, fuel was still relatively cheap. Customers were frightened of the sophisticated technique – the combination of a gasoline and electric engine and large nickel metal hydride batteries. No complaint has been reported for any of the 1200 Thoyota sold. “Prius” has made the greatest savings in urban traffic, where the cost of other cars is rising dramatically.

2. Fiat Punto 1.2 16V
Trusted, but not 80k. Fiat! Italians have traditions in the production of economical small cars, unfortunately they have traditions of insufficient quality control. The 1.2-liter 16-valve engine is very good, but this can not be said for the quality of the Punto. Electronics is unreliable, often replacing the dashboard. Frequent body leakage is observed, transmission also causes a lot of complaints. Clearly, the clutch and transmission did not grow for the powerful 80 hp engine.

3. Renault Twingo 1.2 – 5.5 liters
His trusting eyes have seen us since 1993, but only after the introduction of the 1.2-liter engine three years later, Twingo has become truly economical, but not reliable enough. The quality of the workmanship is low, the electrical installation is always a problem. Twingo drivers are nervous about bad contacts in the Electronic Command Block and the Immobilizer triggered. Still more unpleasant are the suspension problems – torn front springs and dull brakes. Apart from these drawbacks, Twingo delivers genuine joy to the driver with his extensive and comfortable bodywork. After the facelifting in 1998, the seats are now considerably more comfortable.
Data: Model – Twingo; Emp. volume / hp. – 1149 cm³ / 58; 0-100 km / h – 13.6 seconds; Max. lt; / RTI & gt; – 151 km / h
4. Daihatsu Cuore 1.0 – 5.7 liters
